Striper Report June 4, 2011
by doug
Striper fishing was exc ellent yesterday. We boated around 13 stripers up to 12-13 pounds on live bluebacks on downrods and flatlines. The spotted bass and channlel catfish are mixed in with the stripers feeding also. This year I have seen lots of channel cats in the 3-5 pound range, must be good numbers of em in lanier this year. The water temp yesterday hit around 86 when we loaded the boat on the trailer at noon. These high water temps will only make the stripers school up in larger numbers as they are searching for the cooler deep pockets of water. I will be out everyday this upcoming week and will report back soon.
