Striped Bass Report May 31, 2011

Striper action is hot on Lanier. The past week has really got the stripers starting to school up. I went out a couple of hours today with my daughters and caught 8 stripers up to around 13 pounds. All of our fish hit weighted flatlines over deep channel bends. We boated of few  of the fish on downlines at 20-25 ft. depths.  We caught all our fish on the North end but a few of my buddies have been having some good catches south dragging urigs over main lake points and humps. This hot weather is what we have been needing to bunch the fish up and get them in the big schools. I will be out the rest of the week and will report back soon.
