Striper action is on. Had a good day today. We boated 19 stripers up to 18 pounds. Fish really seem to be scattered throughout the lake. I started up near Gainesville Marina and caught 10 stripers up that way early; later we worked areas south of Browns Bridge and caught 9 more stripes holding on [...]

The extreme heat is bunching up the stripers  as they search out deep cooler water temps. Today we boated 13 stripers up to around 12 pounds. We hooked another good fish that was probably in the mid to high teens that broke off in the timber. All our fish hit bluebacks on downrods at 22-30 [...]

Fishing these past few weeks remains good for striped bass. We are still catching fish downlining live bluebacks down 25-35 feet down.
